Tom George
Tom has over 20 years’ in production, post and finance. Originally working for indie commercials and film companies, Tom founded Happy Hour Productions in 2003 to focus on commercials and feature film production. Happy Hour has grown to become the leading commercials agency in the South West and ranks as #2 of all creative agencies outside of London (Campaign Magazine, 2018-2024), as well as developing and producing feature films. In 2015, Tom also founded Principal Film Finance, providing debt finance for Film and TV.
Tom produces and co-produces commercial films, recent films include the romcom “LET’S LOVE” (Martin Freeman, Malin Akerman, Josh Hutcherson, Craig Roberts), Netflix top10 hit thriller “DARKGAME” (Ed Westwick), WW2 action drama “ENEMY LINES” (John Hannah, Ed Westwick), LA set comedy “MADNESS IN THE METHOD” (Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, Stan Lee, Teri Hatcher, Vinnie Jones, Danny Trejo). Other titles include “ALLIES”, “FEED THE DEVIL” “THE HAUNTING OF ELLIE ROSE” “THE RETREAT” and “BRIEF ENCOUNTERS” .
As Executive Producer, Tom has helped finance and oversee films such as “FRUED’S LAST SESSION” (Anthony Hopkins, Matthew Goode), “MR BURTON” (Toby Jones, Leslie Manville, Harry Lawtey), “SALVABLE” (Toby Kebbell, Shia Lebouf), “JERICHO RIDGE” (Nikki Amuka-Bird).
Award recognition includes football comedy “KICKING OFF” (Warren Brown, Greg McHugh, Alastair Petrie) winning Best Film at Raindance International Film Festival, Best Production and Best UK Film at the Oxford International Film Festival and revenge thriller “TWO GRAVES” (Katie Jarvis, Cathy Tyson, David Hayman, Dave Johns), winning Best Film at the British Urban Film Festival and a BIFFA nomination.
